Samsung will release a phone extraction app to Apple’s iPhone and Android operating systems in the coming weeks, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Samsung has been working on a phone extraction app since late 2014 and the company recently released a smartphone extractions application to the Play Store.
The smartphone extraction app allows users to extract the contents of their phone from a phone without unlocking it.
Samsung’s smartphone extractors are a little different from the ones used by Apple and Google.
Samsung’s phones are locked and can’t be used to open apps and send messages.
The smartphone extractor uses a fingerprint scanner and a built-in camera to locate the phone and extract the content.
The smartphone app is currently only available for iPhone 6S and iPhone 6, however the company has stated it will be working on making the phone extractory app available to other versions of Android in the future.
